Kids Bowl Free All Summer at Holiday Lanes

GloFest at the Bakowski Bridge of Lights
June 7, July 4, August 2
Join the Shreveport Regional Arts Council for monthly GloFests, featuring light shows on the Bakowski Bridge of Lights on the Texas Street Bridge. GloFest will include an arts market, food truck court, street performances, and more! This free festival will introduce new animated light shows!

Sci-Port Discovery Center Summer Camps
Weekly throughout June and July
Themed camps for kids ages 3 through 5th grade are offered this summer and campers will be engaged with literacy, music, and movement activities as well as hands-on science experiments and STEAM activities! With “Itty Bitty Scientist” camps for the youngest groups up to “Curiosity Camps” for the oldest campers, topics like “It’s a Bug’s Life” and “Journey Through Space” will keep kids entertained as they learn!

July 12 & 13
Featuring tethered balloon rides, live entertainment, food and retail vendors, a car show, a balloon glow at dusk, and fireworks, this is a family-friendly event that everyone will enjoy!

Natchitoches Area
Saturdays through July 27 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Support your local vendors and come shop for fresh fruit, veggies, plants, handmade goodies, and beautiful art! Fun for the whole family as you stroll along the banks of Cane River.
June 3-7, June 10-14, or June 17-21 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM
The first two weeks of art camp focus on kids ages 5-11 with themes of “Robots Everywhere” and “Pirates and Sea Creatures,” and will focus on creating art with fun twists and playful styles!
The last week is just for kids ages 12-18 and will allow teens to learn advanced art skills through larger projects throughout the week, including 3D printing, laser engraving, carving, printmakins, and more!

Friday, June 21 from 6:00 – 10:30 PM
Join the fun on the riverfront in downtown Historic Natchitoches for a free concert, interactive kids’ zone, and fireworks! This event is part of the 2024 Induction Celebration for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

NSU Fun & Fitness Summer Day Camp
July 8-12, July 15-19, or July 22-26
Campers ages 5-12 will spend 5 days engaged in a variety of activities that include aerobics, sports, arts and crafts, and more! Pack a lunch and join the fun on NSU’s campus this summer!
Cost: $150 per week
Saturday, July 20
“The Old Songs Live Forever,” especially in this celebration on the NSU campus! With free cajun and zydeco dance lessons, Kidfest, the Louisiana State Fiddle Championship, three stages of folk music, over 100 craft vendors, and lots of folk foods, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
